AMAYA DEL RIO
A friend once told Amaya that she makes artwork that looks like postcards from another planet. Inspired by surrealism and graphic minimalism, Amaya del Rio is an illustrator who enjoys creating atmospheric environments, ethereal narratives, and otherworldly architecture for background environments in animation. Utilizing digital mediums and knowledge of art history, her work evokes themes of fantasy, science-fiction, and the surreal.
Amaya can be found in Denver, Colorado where she grew up and is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. She received first and second place for design and third place for drawing in the 2024 RMCAD Red Shoe Awards.
