RMCAD FALL 2024 GRADUATION EXHIBIT
Here are the photos from my graduation exhibit titled, Postcards From Another Planet! I am at the tail end of my bachelor’s in fine arts at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with only one term left! Last month, December 2024, I displayed a collection of work in our campus’ Philip J. Steele gallery along with other graduates. I spent a little over 3 months creating this collection, from designing the artwork and promotional materials, planning the layout, getting everything printed and mounted, and finally installing it in the gallery. I created five new illustrations, postcards, business cards, and sticker designs with the phrase “Greetings from the AE-61 Solar System,” to transport viewers to the galaxy I created.
Myself and our other illustration graduations had fourteen long weeks of starting early, staying late, coffee runs, misprints, mounting disasters, and a lot of laughs and it finally paid off! Thank you to all my friends, family, and loved ones who took the time to come see the culmination of all my hard work during my undergraduate studies. I have officially submitted all my applications for a Master’s of Arts in art history and will hopefully continue my studies in higher education this fall. Cheers to whatever the future may hold and thank you for reading! -Amaya del Rio
